Ash is one of the most popular hardwoods used for wooden worktops as it is extremely strong and can cope with the everyday punishment that a kitchen has to withstand. Ash worktops are also a hot favourite due to the wood being flexible enough to fashion into curves whilst still maintaining its outstanding hardness. Most White Ash will come from North America with Europe being the home of the aptly named European Ash. Ash worktops are pale in colour whilst still showing their natural grain in beautiful waves of slightly darker wood and are most appropriate for the modern kitchen.
